An announcement was made by Sandy Valley's football team's official Twitter page today that this Friday's contest against Garaway would be moved to Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, after a fire damaged Sandy Valley's track and field turf on Wednesday.

Nobody was injured in the fire that stemmed from a parked golf cart on the field that was holding team equipment. Sandy Valley superintendent David Fischer said on Wednesday the local district and the fire department continue investigating what caused the blaze that began around 3:30 p.m., just as the Cardinals were beginning their practice.

Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame complex and normally home to the Canton McKinley Bulldogs, will now host two Inter-Valley Conference schools.

According to a Facebook post from Sandy Valley Local Schools, a limited number of game vouchers would be available for families and loved ones to purchase for $6 at Sandy Valley High School until 9 p.m. Thursday, and Friday at the Sandy Valley Stadium's ticket booth from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
