2021 IVC Scholar Athlete Award winners announced

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio - Five area athletes were named as recipients for the 2020-21 Inter-Valley Conference Scholar Athlete Awards, per an announcement on Monday.

Sandy Valley student-athlete Cameron Blair (far left of photograph) was named the overall winner with a $2000 scholarship grant, while Alex Yarian (East Canton, center) and Tyler Stump (Tuscarawas Valley, far right) each earned a $1000 fund.

Blair, who is set to join Ashland's football program this fall, also participated in wrestling, where he competed in the Division III state finals for the second time in his career this past winter. 

On the girls' side, Malvern's Paige Peshina (center right) and Tusky Valley's Arora Levengood (center left) each earned $1000 grants.
