2020 IVC boys, girls cross country selections released; East Canton boasts 5 1st-teamers

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio - In the 2020 All-Inter-Valley Conference cross country team selections released on Tuesday, East Canton boasted the top two honors in the boys' division.

Gabe Shilling was named IVC Player of the Year while his coach Lee Sternberg was named Coach of the Year. Shilling, a junior, led the Hornets to their sixth straight conference championship while winning the individual title.

On the girls' side, Tusky Valley runner junior Hannah Wyler was named Player of the Year, while Sandy Valley coach Greg Howard took COTY honors. Wyler recently took the individual victory (19:55) at the Tuslaw Invitational.
