The Tuscarawas County Courthouse is reopening June 15th 

On June 15th, The County Courthouse will reopen to the public. Anyone wishing to enter the courthouse will be screened by security and are REQUIRED to wear a face covering upon entering the building. The use of hand sanitizer and social distancing must be maintained. The New Philadelphia Health Department inspected the courthouse this past week to make sure that all safety practices meet their approval. Most hearings conducted at The County Courthouse will be done by either video conferencing or by phone. You must contact court staff prior to observing a hearing. 

The County Courthouse would like to share the following message pertaining to court filings:

“For court filings, the courts prefer the methods below, but if an item must be hand- delivered it can be delivered to the Clerk of Court’s Office in the County Office Building or the Clerk of Court’s Title Office 8:00AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday.

The General Division (Judge O’Farrell and Judge Thomakos) will continue to accept court filings via regular mail to PO Box 628, 125 East High Avenue, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663, via fax to 330-343-4682 and via email toclerkfiling@co.tuscarawas.oh.us

The Probate Juvenile Division (Judge Kate) will continue to accept court filings via regular mail to 101 E. High, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663, fax to 330-364-3190 and via email to probate@co.tuscarawas.oh.us, paternityoffice@co.tuscarawas.oh.us, juvenileprobation@co.tuscarawas.oh.us

The Tuscarawas County Courthouse has been closed to the public since March due to COVID-19.
