New Philadelphia City Schools are excited to announce partnership with the Tuscarawas County Library! The purpose of the partnership is to help students continue developing their reading skills over the summer months. The Tuscarawas County Library is preparing “packets” for K-12 students. New Philadelphia City Schools would like to remind people that “reading is the foundation for all other learning.”The new literacy packets will be distributed on June 9th, 16th, and 23rd from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. It will be the same time that food distribution is happening and parents can follow Leo Benjamin court located behind New Philadelphia  Middle school and High School to pick up literacy packets.

Elementary students will be able to receive their literacy packets at weekly scheduled literacy events that start June 17th and continue every Wednesday night after from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm. The events take place at West Elementary school. The Elementary Literacy Nights continue every Wednesday of summer break.
