Cardinals to play regular season finale at Sandy Valley

MAGNOLIA, Ohio - The Sandy Valley Cardinals will host their regular-season finale against the Tusky Valley Trojans this Friday at Sandy Valley Stadium, even after the field suffered damage in a fire last week.

Sandy Valley athletic director Garth Evans confirmed to Tusco TV on Thursday that the game would be played in the team's home stadium, which had the artificial turf installed this past spring.

Updates on the field's repair have been tracked by the Twitter pages of Sandy Valley school district and repair company Maumee Bay Turf.

The Cardinals (3-2) will take on the Trojans (1-4) in their last game before the state playoffs begin. Sandy Valley confirmed earlier this week that the game, in which the Cardinals will play Tuslaw, will be played in Magnolia.
