NEW PHILADELPHIA - Buckeye Carrer Center Superintendent Bob Alsept said in a press release Friday that the Career Center will be closing its doors in response to Gov. Dewine’s announcement that all schools should close from March 16th - April 6th.

 

The Career Center has a schedule and plans in place to protect the health and well-being of students, families, staff, and the community. Students will be provided satellite learning opportunities, monitored by staff, on March 17th-20th and March 30th - April 3rd.

 

Student and Staff schedule:

 

March 16: In-service Day (no students)

 

March 17-27: Essential personnel only

 

March 23-27: Spring Break (no students or staff)

 

March 30-April 3: All 12-month employees report

 

March 17-20: HS Teaching Staff Monitoring Satellite Learning (home)

 

March 30-April 3: HS Teaching Staff Monitoring Satellite Learning (home)

 

April 6: All students and staff return to BCC

 

Due to the closure, all Adult Education classes are canceled as of March 16th and will resume on April 6th. Adjustments will be made when class resumes.

 

Likewise, all events scheduled to take place at the Career Center are canceled until April 6th.
