OHSAA announces football regions for 2021 season

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio High School Athletics Association announced Tuesday the football region assignments for the upcoming 2021 season.

The top sixteen teams in each region at the end of the 10-game season will qualify for the state playoffs.

Among local schools in Tuscarawas County, Dover and New Philadelphia High Schools will compete in Region 9 among Division III teams, while Division IV teams like Indian Valley and Claymont would compete in Region 15.

Other examples include Tuscarawas Valley (Div. VI) in Reg. 21, Conotton Valley (Div. VII) in Reg. 25, and Strasburg and Tuscarawas Central Catholic (Div. VII) in Reg. 27.

The 2021 high school football season begins the week fo August 16, and the playoffs begin October 29-30.
