Indian Valley forced to forfeit playoff game following COVID-19 contact tracing

GNADENHUTTEN, Ohio - The Indian Valley Braves are forfeiting from the Division IV state football playoffs after multiple players were exposed to a positive COVID19 case in last week's playoff game against Indian Creek, according to WTUZ.

Multiple Braves football players will enter the quarantine stage, according to WTUZ, after an unidentified player for the Indian Creek Redskins tested positive for the coronavirus, and was active for this past Friday's contest at Indian Valley High School, which the Braves won 35-0.

IV becomes the second Inter-Valley conference team forced to forfeit their playoff status this season, after Newcomerstown had positive cases within the team and was forced to drop out of the first round of the playoffs.

The Braves were previously scheduled to play at Bloom Carroll High School for their second-round matchup.
