Hiland names Jason Mishler next girls basketball head coach

BERLIN, Ohio - Jason Mishler is set to be the next head coach for Hiland High School's girls' basketball team.

Mishler is expected to be the successor to former head coach Dave Schlabach, pending approval from the East Holmes Board of Education members at their April meeting.

Mishler had served as the junior varsity coach for the Hawks over the previous two seasons and was part of the coaching staff that captured the Division III state title this past season.

Mishler began his coaching career as an assistant coach for Hiland's boys basketball program in the 2005-2006 season, and in 2006-2007 helped the Hawks reach the Final Four. He continued on as an assistant coach for Tiffin University's women's basketball team for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons before returning to Hiland.
