Browns activate Denzel Ward, Kevin Johnson from COVID-19 list

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland Browns announced on Wednesday the re-activation of cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Both players return after missing the team's previous two teams, including Sunday's Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The two are expected to be back on the field for Wednesday practice, along with this Sunday's Divisional round game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

In their absence, Cleveland's defense surrendered 810 yards through the air combined in the two wins over the Steelers, including 501 yards in Sunday night's 48-37 victory at Heinz Field.

The Browns have just two players remaining on the list – left guard Joel Bitonio and receiver KhaDarel Hodge. Both players tested positive on Jan. 5 along with head coach Kevin Stefanski, who said Monday he hopes to return on Thursday.
