State Route 416 bike lane project underway

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio - Work is currently underway for the installation of new bike lanes from the north side of the Tuscarawas village to the State Route 416/State Route 259 intersection, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

During this time of construction, traffic will be maintained via flaggers on the roads.

There is currently no timetable for the project's completion.

Bolivar, Nc'Town I-77 bridge replacement

While bike lanes are being added to the area, bridge repairs on I-77 near both Bolivar and Newcomerstown are ongoing.

Over State Route 212 in Bolivar, the bridge is currently restricted to two crossover lanes, and completion is expected by July 31, 2021.

Replacement of the twin bridges over U.S. 36 in Newcomerstown is also being maintained by crossovers, although future lane restrictions may take place throughout the project.

Completion of this repair is slated for November 30, 2020.

State Route 800 Project

State Route 800 through Dennison from Elm Street to U.S. 250 is currently being resurfaced. Traffic will be maintained via flaggers, and the project is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 30, 2020.

State Route 258 Project

7.5 miles of State Route 258 through Tuscarawas and Harrison Counties are being resurfaced.

Traffic will be maintained via flaggers, and the project is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 30, 2020.
