Oak Shadows Golf Club to be auctioned Saturday

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio - Oak Shadows Golf Club is scheduled to be auctioned off this Saturday, Dec. 5, both online and on-site at 1063 Oak Shadows Drive NE.

The course, founded in 1995, was most recently proposed as the site for a $100 million complex for New Philadelphia City Schools. However, voters rejected a bond issue for the project in the recent primary election, with 67% voting no on the issue.

The course, which will be auctioned off as 280 acres of land offered in 8 parcels, will be followed by the selling of golf equipment, including 72 Club Gar gas-powered golf carts as well as a beverage cart. Maintenance equipment, including diesel tractors, a skid loader,  Bobcat backhoe attachment, a fairway blower and mowers, brush hog, John Deere Gators, a sand bunker rake, weed trimmers, and other tools will also be sold.

An open house and preview of the course will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4.
