UHRICHSVILLE (Tusco TV) - Twin City churches are coming together to make sure everyone gets to experience the food and fellowship of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The area’s ministerial association will be serving up a free turkey meal Thursday from noon to 2 at Uhrichsville First Presbyterian. Pastor Mark Unrue says reservations are requested but there should be more than enough food to go around.

"One church just cooked all the turkeys for us, Dennison Foursquare. The Shekinah church in Sugarcreek brings the stuffing, and Dutch Valley peels and quarters the potatoes for us, and then just churches come out and help out. The bring pies. They bring desserts and help [with] delivery and cook and everything else," he says.

Unrue says people can call the church if they would like to attend, or they can make arrangements to have a meal delivered to them.

"If they would like to come, it would be wonderful if they could call 740-922-3692, and we will sign them up and make sure we have the information, especially if they need it delivered," he says.

Unrue says the meal is in its 29th year and typically feeds well over 600 people.

Meanwhile, New Philadelphia First Christian is hosting its free community Thanksgiving meal Wednesday from 11 am to 6 pm.
