Trumpet in the Land hosting Halloween event

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio - Trumpet in the Land, New Philadelphia's local performing arts theater, will be hosting a drive-thru Halloween event for local residents on Oct. 31, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the amphitheater's parking lot.

"We're asking people to provide for at least 300 trick-or-treaters," said TITL general manager Margaret Bonamico.

Bonamico also added, "We know everybody's had a hard time this year, and we just thought it would be a nice community event to do."

In partnership with local businesses, TITL will hold the free event, saying in their official press release: "Visiting trick or treaters must come in a vehicle and are required to stay in their cars at all times; no walk-ups will be permitted.  Families will be able to drive around the circle and treats will be delivered to each car at various “trunk” stations.  For everyone’s safety, face masks and gloves will be worn when approaching a vehicle."

The amphitheater, which just went into his 51st year, has been mostly quiet this year after its initially planned events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
