NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio - The most recent Buckeye Career Center student-built 'Buckeye House' is scheduled to be sold at public auction June 15, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.
The single-family home, located at 545 Corral Drive NE in New Philadelphia, was first constructed in August 2019 and completed in early May. The 1,760 square foot, three-bedroom, two-bath home features a front porch, covered back patio, two-car garage, three walk-in closets, a tray ceiling in the master bedroom, vertical farmhouse-style siding, and an outdoor fire pit.
Buckeye students in Construction Technology, Energy Operations, Masonry, Landscaping, HVAC-R, and Electrical Systems Technology had a role in building the house. Buckeye officials say the construction project provides real-world training for students hoping to enter the construction field.
“The Buckeye House gives on-the-job experience for our students through the entire building process,” said Assistant Principal Trent Edie. “It’s really a great learning sample for our students.”
The first open house is scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
The home is listed by Barnett Realtors and can be viewed online at www.BarnettRealtors.com
