Dover, Ohio - Fairgoers are in store for a special treat tonight when nationally-known country music recording artist Rodney Atkins performs on the grandstand stage.

Atkins’ career in country music spans more than two decades. His four studio LP's have collectively sold over 10 million units and garnered six chart-topping hits including "Take A Back Road,” “It’s America,” “Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy),” “These Are My People,” “Watching You” and “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)."

The Tennessee native will be stopping by Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds in Dover as part of his Caught Up in the Country Tour. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and is one that fair board President Steve Cronebaugh says area country music fans aren’t going to want to miss.

“I think it’s just going to be a good country atmosphere. He’s known to be a great performer, so I look for it to be very high-energy,” he says.

Tickets are $20 for track seats and $10 for grandstand seats. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth while supplies last or in advance by calling 330-343-0524.

Junior Fair events for Wednesday begin at 9 a.m. and include Market & Dairy Steer, Feeder Calf, and Beef Breeding shows; a Rabbit showmanship contest; Breeding Rabbit and Market Rabbit shows; and
a Pony and Easy Gaited Horse Show.

An Open Class Dairy & Kiddie Showmanship event starts at 2 p.m. followed by a Junior Fair Swine & Kiddie Showmanship contest at 4.
