TUSKY (WJER) - Tusky’s mayor is talking about how they plan to use a grant coming from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Dana Moore says the village is getting an ODNR grant for just over $7,800 to add playground equipment at the village park. (it’s a playground train with four of five cars to it)

“It’s kind of a train type of thing with four or five cars on it, and it’s impervious to the weather. It appears that it’ll last quite a long time,” he says.
Moore says they became aware of the grant early in the year and decided to apply, so that’s how long these things can take.

“We’re constantly doing all that we can to improve the park and the equipment for kids, and this was an opportunity through ODNR, their NatureWorks grant,” he says.

Moore says they next want to be able to finish installing a walking track around the perimeter of the park and connect it to the nearby trail.
