NEW PHILADELPHIA - The cast and crew of Trumpet in the Land are inviting the community to join them Thursday, July 25th, for the final performance of the A.R. Gurney classic "Love Letters."

"Love Letters" centers on two characters, Melissa Gardner portrayed by Marian Vogel and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III played by Joseph Bonamico.  Melissa and Andrew sit side by side and read the notes, letters and cards in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.  Andy’s last letter, written to Melissa’s mother, makes it eloquently clear how much they really meant and gave to each other over the years - physically apart, but spiritually as close as only true lovers can be. The show contains mature themes and strong language and is not suitable for children.

Curtain time is 8:30 pm in the covered amphitheatre pavilion. Tickets for are $20 for adults or $18 for seniors 60 and over and can be purchased by calling 330-339-1132 or at the door on the night of the performance.
