DOVER (Tusco TV) - Donations continue pouring into the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds for Community Hospice’s biggest fundraising event of the year.

Fundraising and Events Coordinator Mona Sayre says they’re accepting donations through the end of the week for the Community Hospice Giant Garage Sale that runs August 1-3. She says people can drop off their donations this Thursday from 4 to 8 pm and Friday and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Sayre says they could also use some additional volunteers on those days to help unload and sort through the donations.

“We still would be happy to accept your physical strength if you’d like to volunteer any one of those days. You are welcome to show up. Come to the main building by the tent, and we’ll give you a job to do,” she says. “This literally takes an army of volunteers to make this garage sale happen.”

The sale opens August 1st with a preview night from 3 to 8 pm. The cost is $5 per person to purchase a wrist band for the chance to purchase items before the sale opens to general public  August 2nd from 9 am to 6pm and August 3rd from 8 am to noon. Sayre says people can purchase those wristbands at the fairgrounds opening event or in advance from Community Hospice’s Browse & Buy resale stores in Dover and Uhrichsville.
