Newscomerstown school district will remote learn for remainder of the week following positive COVID case

A positive COVID-19 case of a staff member in the Newcomerstown School District has causes a large number of the districts staff to quarantine.

With the large amount of quarantined staff, the school district will be moving to remote learning for all grades on Thursday, Oct. 15 and Friday, Oct. 16.

The school district, who will not be conducting any face-to-face learning during those two days, hopes students and staff can return to the classroom on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The districts said because mainly the staff has been affected, the district believes athletic events can continue as scheduled.
