New Philadelphia, Ohio - Area residents are invited to bring their appetites to Historic Schoenbrunn Village this weekend for a special end-of-summer celebration featuring live music, games and more than a dozen food trucks.

The 3rd-annual Jammin’ Food Truck Fest is set for this Saturday, September 1, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the lower level of Historic Schoenbrunn Village in New Philadelphia.

Jacob Masters is the manager of brand relations and consumer engagement for the Dennison Depot Railroad Museum, Uhrichsville Clay Museum and Historic Schoenbrunn Village. He says this year’s event will feature at least 13 food trucks representing a wide variety of culinary styles and flavors.

“We have barbeque. We have pork. We have Mexican. We have Asian infusion. We have sweets. We have burgers, hot dogs. It’s a little bit of everything,” he says.

In addition to food, the event will also feature plenty of fun for visitors of all ages, with activities including bocce ball and volleyball and live musical entertainment planned throughout the day.

Performers set to take the stage during the day include local favorites Saxy Rob, Daniels and Rinehart, and Randy Velez.

There will also be a designated area where adult guests can enjoy a beer and sample locally-made wines and a vendors area where local merchants will be selling their wares.

Admission to the event is free but visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a $3 wristband for $1 off beer from the beer garden and $1 off drink’s from the museum’s beverage tent. Masters notes that proceeds from the wristbands sales will benefit not only Historic Schoenbrunn Village but also its sister museums - the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and Uhrichsville Clay Museum.

Masters says the event will be like a great big bash to say farewell to summer.

“Since it’s Labor Day weekend, it’s kind of like the final celebration of summer. Everyone’s getting back into school and all those things, so that’s why it’s like the final celebration of summer for us - a big final party.”

The entrance to Historic Schoenbrunn Village is located at 1984 E High Ave. in New Philadelphia.
