DUNDEE (WJER) - State Highway Patrol dispatchers say troopers are still trying to piece together what happened this morning between a vehicle a deer and a bicycle rider that left one person in the hospital.

Reports show troopers were called out to state Route 93 in Dundee about 5:15 am to find a deer had been struck by a vehicle and was thrown into the bicycle. The rider was transferred to Aultman Hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately available. Dispatchers say troopers are now looking for the vehicle involved. They say it’s unclear if the person driving even knew they hit the deer or saw the bicycle as it was dark and still dense fog around the time of the accident.
