Dover, Ohio - The Tuscarawas County Health Department will be holding a class for homeowners on how to maintain a home sewage treatment system.  The class will be held on April 30th at 6 pm at their headquarters at 897 East Iron Avenue in Dover.

Environmental Health Director Caroline Terakedis says they recommend having your septic system inspected every three to five years and your tank pumped as often as recommended by the service provider or as required by your town, county, or state. She says doing this will extend the life of your system for a small cost compared to the cost of replacement.

For information about home septic systems or to sign up for the upcoming class, call 330-343-5550 or visit tchdnow.org
