Tuscarawas Arts Partnership (TAP) and Angel Family Farms presents Arts and Farms, a fundraiser that brings an artistic experience to local farms in Tuscarawas County. The purpose of Arts and Farms is to create an environment that brings together the arts and agriculture communities, encourage creativity, artistic experiences and cultural appreciation, and bring members across the county to engage with arts and agriculture activities and communities.

“We are so fortunate in Tuscarawas County to have both a strong arts community and a strong agricultural community,” says Shana Angel whose family owns and runs Angel Family Farms. “A blending of two communities like this demonstrates the cohesiveness of our county as a whole.”

“When Shana and I started collaborating, we thought, ‘why not - let’s give it a shot!’” says Wilma K. Mullet, Executive Director of TAP. “We believe this could be the start of a great collaboration with two important communities in Tuscarawas County. We hope this will spark inspiration for others in arts and agriculture to put something together as well.”

The funds raised at Arts and Farms will be used to support TAP’s programs, operationsand services in the community, and create grants of arts-based projects and programs. All artwork created at the Arts and Farms event will be available for purchase, and guests can participate in a “People’s Choice” award for the art created on the farm. Artists that would like to create and participate in the plein air style show can visit the Arts and Farms web page to register.

Arts and Farms will be on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Angel Family Farms, located at 7308 Leonhard Hill Rd SW Port Washington, OH 43837. Music will be presented by Doug Huston from the Tuscarawas Philharmonic. The menu of heavy hor devours and beverages will be sourced from the local farms in Tuscarawas County.
