NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) - Officials at the Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center say they have hope for another sensational season based on responses following last Friday's unveiling.

PAC General Manager David Mitchell says the event brought out some lively reactions from its members as they revealed acts like Art Garfunkel, Stomp, and Manheim Steamroller that will be returning for another year. He says now the public has to wait until June 10th to purchase their tickets after members get the first pick.

“There’s definitely a buzz within the community that I think people are really getting excited,” he says.  “They might just pick out one or two shows that they’re excited about, but you can feel the electricity so it’s really exciting to be a part of it.”

Mitchell says the PAC’s following has continued increasing after a decade in Tuscarawas County, to the point where he says even the unveiling itself feels like part of their season lineup…

“Every year, it gets a little bit bigger. I think our members enjoy coming out and being part of the event and part of the excitement. It’s like Christmas day for me,” he says. “We get to unwrap the season and everybody just gets a thrill.”

Other acts in the 2019-20 lineup include stand up comedian Tim Hawkins, “Beautiful” the musical and the Broadway classic “Finding Neverland.” A full listing of shows is available on the PAC website
