DENNISON - Registration is now open for the Dennison Rotary Club's Fall Health Check-up.  

Check-up dates are Saturday, October 12th, and Saturday, October 26th, at Trinity Hospital Twin City's St. Francis Conference Center with appointment times available from 5:15 to 10:30 am. 

The $50 basic profile includes over 50 blood tests to assist participants in monitoring their health and making lifestyle adjustments to improve their physical condition. Included screenings include tests for calcium, cholesterol, diabetes, infection, thyroid function and more. 

Other tests offered during the screening include: 

  • Colorectal Test Kit - $20: This take-home test can detect blood in the colon or rectum, a sign of colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer can often be cured if caught early.
  • Hemoglobin A1C Test for Diabetes ($15) - This test shows how well your blood sugar is being controlled. It provides an average of your blood sugar control over a 6-12 week period. 
  • Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Test for Men ($15) - This test is used to screen men for prostate cancer.
  • Urine Micro Albumin ($25) - This test detects early signs of kidney damage in people with diabetes, high blood pressure other others who are at risk of developing kidney disease. 
  • Vitamin D Test ($25) - This test detects both high and low levels of Vitamin D which can cause health problems.
  • Thyroid Test Bundle ($80) - This bundle of tests includes the T3, T4, and Free T3. These tests are in addition to the thyroid test that is provided in the basic panel (TSH) that is included as part of the health check-up for every Rotary Blood Profile participant. This additional test bundle will assist you and your physician to assess and monitor thyroid function and to diagnose hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, or to monitor treatment of a person with a known thyroid disorder. 

Pre-registration is required by calling 740-922-1550 or visiting www.trinitytwincity.org. Call-in registration times are October 2nd and October 16th from 9 am to noon. All test results are mailed directly to your home for your privacy.
