DOVER - Area agencies and businesses are teaming up to help residents get rid of hard to dispose of items safely and responsibly.

The Dover Community Residential Recycling Day is this Saturday from 10am to 3pm in the Dover Buehler's parking lot (3000 N. Wooster Ave). 

Acceptable items include typical recyclables including paper products, cardboard, and plastic, metal or glass containers; large and small appliance (with the freon removed); electronics including computer towers, monitors, laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, cell phones, chargers, and accessories; fluorescent bulbs and tubes up to 8 ft and CFLs; and residential hazardous waste including aerosols, propane tanks, oil-based paint, items containing mercury, cleaning solvents , pesticides, automotive fluids, and other household chemicals (all containers must be less than five gallons). 

Unacceptable items include mattresses, upholstered furniture, styrofoam, tires, latex paint and televisions. 

The event is sponsored by Stark-Wayne-Tusc Recycling, Computer Works, Beuhler's, and CleanHarbors. It's a residential collection and items from businesses will not be accepted.
