Dr. Richard Clark of Pickerington, Ohio, has been hired as the new primary care physician at Community Mental Healthcare's Family Health Center.

DOVER – A physician who's spent nearly three decades working with state and county agencies is joining the team at Community Mental Healthcare's Family Health Center.

Dr. Richard Clark of Pickerington, Ohio, has been hired as the new primary care physician for the center that's located at 204 Bellvue Ave. CMH Marketing and Compliance Coordinator Miles Riley says Clark's experience and vision made him an ideal fit for the position.

"We really want to explore and get more expansion into those communities that need it the most. He sees that vision for us so it's a very nice transition to have him come in knowing and understanding how we want to do that, why we want to do that, and I think he's the right guy for the job so we're glad to have him aboard."

Clark replaces the center's previous primary care physician, Dr. Robert Ley, who retired late last year. He's set to step into his new role later this month, and Riley says people can call CMH to get on his appointment schedule.

"While he hasn't started — I believe he starts next week — we're already starting to fill his schedule. If you'd like to get an appointment with Dr. Clark, the number to call is 330-365-1781."

In addition to primary healthcare, the center also offers also basic dental care, behavioral health and substance abuse treatment. Riley says they can take patients with Medicare, Medicaid or private healthcare coverage, and there's also a sliding fee scale for those without insurance.
