NEW PHILADELPHIA - Buckeye Career Center officials are announcing the school's December Student of the Month recipients. 

High school students Natalie Titus and Nick Aul were chosen for the honor for demonstrating December’s core value of creativity, while Caleb McConnell was honored as December's Adult Education Student of the Month.

Titus is a Medical Assisting senior from Carrollton and a member of HOSA Future Health Professionals. She is the daughter of Chris and Danielle Tituscurrently works at Wendy’s and enjoys spending time with her friends. Upon graduation, Titus hopes to attend Stark State to further a career in medical assisting or phlebotomy. 

Instructor Gail Sleighter says Titus works hard in class and has a bright future. “She is empathetic, caring, and trustworthy. I know that I can count on her to do the right thing." 

Aul is an Energy Operations senior from Tusky Valley and the son of Jeff and Lisa Aul of Bolivar. He works at Canal Street Diner, enjoys hunting and fishing, and has participated in football, basketball, and baseball for many years. He plans to attend Stark State for Civil Engineering. 

Instructor Ryan Irwin describes Aul as a hard worker. “He completes his projects and is a peer leader in class so he is respected by all of his classmates." 

McConnell is a Medical Office & Billing Specialist student from Newcomerstown. He graduated from Indian Valley and works at Dutch Valley Woodworking. In his free time, he has coached basketball at the YMCA and for the Tuscarawas County Special Olympics team. Upon graduation, McConnell hopes to obtain a career in the medical field. 

All three students were honored at the December Buckeye Career Center Board of Education meeting. They received photo banners and $25 Joe Carlisle Café & Marketplace gift certificates courtesy of Skyline Homes.
