sr-212_crop.pngBolivar, Ohio - Motorists who travel on state Route 212 may want to allow themselves some extra time to get to their destination beginning this week.

Officials for the Ohio Department of Transportation say traffic will be restricted to one lane at the overhead bridge just west of Bolivar for a 30-day period beginning on Wednesday, September 5.

ODOT Public Information Officer Lauren Borell explains that the restrictions are due to railroad repairs being completed by the W.M. Brode Construction Company for the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway Company.

"Nothing needs to be done to the road or anything but it's all for the railroad bridge that's there. A vehicle had hit it back in May, and they did quite a bit of damage to it," she says.

Traffic will be maintained with temporary signals for the duration of the project.
