Uhrichsville, Ohio - The Twin City Chamber of Commerce has announced their 2018 award winners ahead of their annual recognition banquet on April 16th. They include:  

• Twin City Award: Carl Sowers - for his work with the Twin City Christian Service Center Food Pantry, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and involvement with Park Christian Church.
• Business of the Year: Claymont Public Library - for the many services they offer to the community. Book and movie loans, research, computers, programs for children and adults, and many more reasons!
• Community Contribution: Dennison Rotary Club- for various projects they have done in the community over the years including their bi-annual health screens. 
• Employee of the Year: Kirkland Cordray (Wendy’s Restaurant, Uhrichsville) – for his customer service, engagement and great work style.
• Golden Apple- James Maxwell- Custodian at Claymont Elementary- for always being ready to help when needed throughout his 27 years with the Claymont City School District.
• Educators of the Year: Buckeye Career Center - Evelyn Moody, science instructor; Claymont – Sarah McCauley, math teacher at Intermediate School; Immaculate Conception – Patricia Love, 6th-grade teacher; Indian Valley - Chad Peterman, 5th grade English-Language Arts.
• Senior Scholarship recipients: Buckeye Career Center - Elaina Swigert (daughter of Andrea and Lonnie Swigert); Claymont - Caylan Rentsch (daughter of Cheryl Rentsch); Indian Valley - Rebecca Sabol (daughter of Melissa Sabol and Michael & Jamie Sabol); Tuscarawas Central Catholic - Braden Culler (son of Jay Culler).
• DJ’s Welding & Fabrication Scholarship winners: BCC Auto Collision Repair student John Tinney (Claymont) and BCC Ag & Diesel Tech student Brandon Shotwell (Carrollton).

The winner of the Heart of Tourism Award will be announced during the banquet on April 16th at the Knights of Columbus. The cost to attend is $25 per person for a cooked-to-order steak dinner.
