NEW PHILADELPHIA - The Tuscarawas Arts Partnership (TAP) is using an Ohio Arts Council grant to launch a series of free workshops to help artists take their creative endeavors to the next level.

The ArtsThrive Program will connect participants with in-depth information and resources to help them take a look at their business with new knowledge on topics such as budgeting, creating contracts, understanding insurance and taxes.

The curriculum for the first series of workshops is based on the book "Art and Numbers," with author Elaine Grogan Luttrull serving as the guest speaker.

The first three workshops will cover the following topics:
⦁    Budgeting: Five Steps to Building an Exceptional Budget on Saturday, September 7th
⦁    Protecting Yourself: Contracts, Entity Types, Insurance and More on Saturday, October 5th
⦁    Taxes 101: The Basics of Income and Sales Tax for Creative Individuals on Saturday, November 2nd

The second set of workshops will be held March 7th, April 4th, and May 2nd with topics to be determined at a later date based on artists’ suggestions.

All workshops will be held at the My Museum Tattoo Studio at 935 Tuscarawas Ave NW in New Philadelphia. Light refreshments will be served, and course material will be provided. To sign up or learn more about the courses, visit www.tuscarawasartspartnership.org/artsthrive
