New Philadelphia, Ohio - Police say a search of city residence resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

On November 27th at approximately 2 p.m., the New Philadelphia Police Department executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 1000 block of Ray Avenue NW after receiving information about possible drug trafficking occurring at the residence. 

Chief Mike Goodwin says that during the search, officers located suspected marijuana and 360 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. 

He says both substances have been submitted to BCI for testing. Once the results come back, a report will be sent to the Tuscarawas County Prosecutor to review for possible charges.
