DOVER - Dover City Schools invites you to attend an open house for the new Dover high school on March 11, from 5 - 7 p.m.

Although the building is not completely finished, this is an opportunity to see the building before students begin moving into the new school later in March.

“This is a chance for us to provide residents with a sneak peek into the new Dover High School,” says Superintendent Carla Birney. “Even though the building will not be totally complete until September, we are pleased to open the doors and share a glimpse of the progress.”

The new Dover high school features 178,000 square feet of classroom space. It offers state-of-the-art safety and ADA enhancements, modern science labs, new music and art spaces, and an updated gymnasium and auditorium.

“None of this would be possible without the generosity of our taxpayers, private donors, and local foundations supporting our schools and community,” adds Birney. “It is truly the community’s school, and we hope all will join us as we celebrate another milestone in the building process.”

In addition to the open house in March, the district is planning a more formal dedication for the community this fall when the building and grounds are complete.
