Dover, Ohio (WJER) - An early trump administration official who became a familiar face on television will be making his way to Tuscarawas County.

Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is set to be the keynote speaker at the GOP’s Lincoln Day Dinner on May 15th at the Tool Shed at Breitenbach Winery. Tuscarawas County Republican Party Chair Doug Wills says he got the idea after attending an event in where Spicer was the featured speaker.

“I knew at that point right then that I had to bring him to Tuscarawas County, so working very closely with the Ohio Republican Party. We started on that in November,” he says.

Wills says that Spicer will talk about his experiences in the white house, what it’s like dealing with the press on an everyday basis, and also on his military background.

“The folks will find it so interesting, and then one of the things that we’re going to feature is he will personally autograph a book to everyone that night. He takes the time to do that,” he says.

Will says people interested in going to the Lincoln Day Dinner with Sean Spicer should contact the Tuscarawas County Republican Party Headquarters in Dover to make reservations.
