New Philadelphia, Ohio - Unregistered voters wishing cast a ballot in the November 6 election have until 9 p.m. this evening to register.

The Tuscarawas County Board of Elections will remain open until the 9 p.m. deadline to accept last-minute registrations. Forms can also be picked up and returned to any area public library, high school or BMV office during regular business hours.

Tuscarawas County Board of Elections Deputy Director Sarah Kneuss says registrants do not need to bring anything with them when they show up to register but should be sure to know their driver’s license number or the last four digits of their Social Security number.

Those with a valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card can also register online at www.MyOhioVote.com.

Today is also the deadline to notify the board of elections of name or address changes. Information can be updated in person at the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections or online at www.MyOhioVote.com

Kneuss says those who do not update that information by the end of the day today will have to cast a provisional ballot come election day. She says those ballots must be certified by the board of elections before they can be counted.

Individuals who are unsure whether their information is current should call the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections at 330-343-8819 or visit the board’s secure website at  https://tuscarawas.ohioboe.com/apps/vtrlookup.aspx

The Tuscarawas County Board of Elections office is located inside the Tuscarawas County Courthouse at 125 E. High Ave. in downtown New Philadelphia.
