New Philadelphia, Ohio - Police are investigating a bomb threat that prompted the evacuation of a Bluebell Drive business Sunday night.

Chief Michael Goodwin says shoppers and employees were evacuated from the New Philadelphia Walmart for about an hour and a half Sunday night and early Monday in response to a threatening note found inside the men’s restroom. He says officers responded to the  scene and searched the entire building but did not locate any devices. The Canton Police Department’s K9 Bomb Unit assisted with the search.

Goodwin says the incident remains under investigation. He says they do not have any leads or suspects at this time.
