NEW PHILADELPHIA - The next Buckeye House will be going up for sale to the highest bidder, but not before the public gets a chance to walk-though and see the results of the students' hard work.

Buckeye Career Center students built and finished the three-bedroom ranch at 2021 Brookside Drive NE in New Philadelphia. Now that the work is complete, BCC is looking for someone to make that house into a home.

The public is invited to tour the house before it's auctioned off at 6 pm on Tuesday, May 14th. An open house is scheduled for this Saturday from 1 to 3 pm.

The house had been under construction since August of 2017. Students in Construction Technology, Energy Operations, Masonry, Landscaping, HVAC-R, and Electrical Systems Technology all had a role in the project.

BCC Assistant Principal Trent Edie says the construction project provides real-world training for students hoping to enter the construction field.

“The Buckeye House gives on-the-job experience for our students through the entire building process. It’s really a great learning sample for our students,” he says.

The home is listed by Barnett Realtors. For more information, call 330-339-1196 or visit www.BarnettRealtors.com.
