Tuscarawas County, Ohio (WTUZ) – Job seekers in Tuscarawas and Stark Counties will now have an opportunity to get work-ready methods at a free workshop. Resource Room Supervisor Lori Yager says this workshop will explore proven successful methods to getting and keeping a job. “With this workshop, we wanted to focus on three components for getting job ready. The first is the skills, the second we wanted to talk about is attitude and the third component we wanted to talk about is job retention.” Yager says a lot of the focus will be on job retention because of current trends. “A lot of employers are saying they are having a hard time getting people and having a hard time getting people to stay. So there is a lot of turnover with the companies we are working with.” Those interested in learning more about skills and personal qualities that employers are seeking are encouraged to register by calling (330)433-9675 in Canton or (330)364-9777 in New Philadelphia.
