Bolivar, Ohio (WTUZ) – A man will receive a citation after crossing lanes on Interstate 77.

No one was seriously hurt during a Sunday accident involving two-vehicles near Bolivar.

State Highway Patrol New Philadelphia Post Trooper Troy Thompson explains they responded at milepost 93 on I-77 just before 12:40pm.

“We had two different vehicles that were both going southbound. Unit one was in the left lane. Unit one quickly made a cut to the right and stuck unit two. He drove off the roadway, struck a guardrail, [went] back across the roadway into the median, then back across the roadway again where at that time he struck an embankment.”

Trooper Thompson says that two people, both in the at-fault vehicle, received non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital.

The at-fault driver will be cited for an improper lane change. - Mary Alice Reporting
