New Philadelphia, Ohio - The jury trial for a Coshocton man charged in the robbery turned shooting out of Oxford Township in December continued through Monday afternoon.

Jurors heard from Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Communications Manager Lt. Ryan Lawrence, who was called as a witness by Prosecutor Ryan Styer. Lawrence described 36-year-old Ian Cultrona’s movements in the hours leading up to and following the shooting based on cell-phone tower records, which he says line up with the testimony provided by Samantha Owen, who is also suspected in the case.

The prosecution also called Sheriff’s Detective Lt. Jeff Moore to the stand. Moore recounted his initial investigation into the shooting, which led him to Samantha Owen’s home based on an eyewitness description of the vehicle. Moore says that’s where he found Cultrona in the basement, asleep, with a hunting knife and a revolver in his pocket. Closing arguments are expected Tuesday ahead of jurors’ deliberations.
