New Philadelphia, Ohio - Troopers say a medical condition was the likely cause of a single-vehicle crash on I-77 South that sent a 61-year-old Uhrichsville man to the hospital Friday afternoon.

New Philadelphia Post Sgt. Gary Wolfe says the driver was experiencing low blood sugar levels when his car traveled off the side of the roadway near the Strasburg exit and landed on its side in an embankment.

Wolfe says the Strasburg Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the man to Aultman Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. No one else was inside the vehicle.
