New Philadelphia, Ohio (WTUZ)  – Tuscarawas County seventh and eighth graders have been exploring the world of manufacturing at the Tuscarawas County Dale Lauren Foland Manufacturing Camp this week. 

Chief Operating Officer of Lauren International Mike Hovan said that to cap off the week, they will host a manufacturing festival at Tuscora Park on Saturday.

“At the festival, we have a lot of these companies that will have a tent and they will be showing what they do at their company. But we’re also having what we call a rib-off.”

Texas Roadhouse and Hog Heaven will compete for the best ribs in Tuscarawas County.

“If you come to the festival and you come to see some of the companies in the tents, you’ll get a couple tickets for a couple free ribs.”

The first 500 people will be the judging committee and decide who has the best ribs in Tuscarawas County.

The festival will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. - Michele Spring Reporting
