The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will celebrate one of the masters of the horror genre during the "Stephen King Experience" on October 22nd.

NEW PHILADELPHIA - Tuscarawas County Public Library System officials are inviting the community to join them for a journey into the mind of one of America's masters of horror.

The library system will host "Stephen King Experience" on Tuesday, October 22nd at 6pm at the Holiday Inn Express in New Philadelphia.

Retired librarian Ed Rossman will lead a scenic tour of Colorado, the backdrop for Stephen King's books The StandThe Shining, Misery, and Dr. Sleep. Through colorful slides and commentary, attendees will learn more about King's stories and his thoughts on writing. Rossman will also share some of the behind-the-scenes details of King's most notable books and movies. Stephen King trivia and games will add to the fun.

Assistant Director Andrea Legg says the event is sure to excite fans of King's stories and writing.

"With the recent release of IT 2 in movie theaters, a lot of people are discovering (or re-discovering) Stephen King and his wide and varied selection of stories. This program is perfect for new and long-time fans who just want to convene with other like-minded readers and learn more about the genius behind our favorite master of horror."

The program is free to attend but registration is required. To register, visit the library's online event calendar at www.tusclibrary.org or call 330-364-4474.
