NEW PHILADELPHIA - Tuscarawas County Public Library System is inviting the community to learn more about the local airport by attending an upcoming program.

Retired pilot Terry Henry will speak about the history of New Philadelphia's Harry Clever Airport during a presentation there on June 13th starting at 6:30 pm. Henry will share historic photos and his knowledge about the airport's use, and its famous pilots including John Glenn, who took flying lessons there in 1941.

Teen Services Manager Robyn Guedel says they're thrilled to offer this program at the historic airport.

"Attendees will have an excellent opportunity to learn how the airport has changed over the years and all it has to offer the public today," she says.

The Harry Clever Airport is located at 1834 E. High Ave. in New Philadelphia. To register for the free program, visit the library's online registration calendar at www.tusclibrary.org or call 330-364-4474.
