Tuscarawas County, Ohio - Many New Year's resolutions fizzle out in the first few weeks or months. For Donna German-Schultz, she has managed to keep her promise for the past eleven months.

"I started out just wanting to read more books," Schultz says. "Then I found the Tuscarawas County Library System's programming newsletter Between the Lines."

The programming newsletter highlights programs offered at the County Library's five locations including its Main library in New Philadelphia and branches in Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek, and Tuscarawas.

Schultz says there were so many things she wanted to learn that she amended her resolution to include learning something new each month.

So far in 2018, Schultz has participated in the library system's Microsoft classes, computer classes, 3D printer workshop, Cricut program, Pinterest Club, and the Coffee, Canvases, and Crafts Club.

"There are so many neat things to explore and learn," she says. "You never know what you will like."

While Schultz mainly uses the Strasburg Branch of the County Library system, she has visited the Main Library and Bolivar Branch to participate in how-to classes and programs. Schultz says the staff at the library are all so helpful and more than happy to assist you.

"You shouldn't be afraid to go alone or visit a new library location," she says. "There is always someone to meet and have a great conversation with."

Schultz says the county library system also has her hooked on reading, and she plans to continue taking classes to help her reach her resolution goal of learning something new each month.

"Everyone can learn from the library, and it is a great place for kids to play and learn," Schultz says.
