TUSCARAWAS COUNTY - Two area school districts are announcing their kindergarten enrollment schedules for the 2020-2021 school year. 

New Philadelphia and Dover both opened their kindergarten registration periods today for students who are 5 years of age on or before August 1st. Phila's registration is open through March 6th while Dover's ends March 2nd.   

New Phila parents can register their child through March 6th at www.npschools.org or by calling the Central Registration Office at 330-364-0600 x4007. After completing and submitting the forms online, applicants will receive a link to schedule a screening appointment. Screenings will take place the week of March 23rd at the Front Street Administrative Building, located at 248 Front Ave SW. Parents are asked to bring the following items when they come in with their child for the screening: 
* Any registration forms that were not submitted electronically online
* Birth Certificate with Seal
* Proof of Residence, such as utility bill for gas, electric or water
* Legal Documents (if applicable, pertaining to custody)
* Immunization Records

 Dover parents can register their students for kindergarten by calling South Elementary School at 330-364-7111 on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm.  Callers will be assigned a date and time for the March kindergarten registration, and the school will also mail them a packet to fill out and return during their appointment.
