NEW PHILADELPHIA - Kent State University at Tuscarawas will be holding a Nursing Career Fair for students and community members.

The career fair will be on Wednesday, August 21st, from noon to 2 pm in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. More than 150 nursing students will attend the event, including incoming students and those who will graduate next May. The free event is also open to anyone interested in a healthcare career.

Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator Donna Morgan says this is a great way to connect current and prospective students with the wonderful educational facilities available in the local area.

“This will be an opportune time to have one-on-one time with new students looking for healthcare experience and to connect with those who will be graduating seeking that first nursing job,” she says.

Area health care agencies scheduled to attend include Inn at Northwood Village, Coshocton Regional Medical Center, Park Village Health Care Center, Pomerene Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, New Dawn Retirement Community, Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar, Interim HealthCare of New Philadelphia, Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Laurels of Massillon and Trinity Hospital Twin City.

Additional agencies looking to participate in the fair should contact Morgan at dmorga7@kent.edu by August 16th to secure a space. For more information about the Nursing career fair, contact Morgan by email or call 330-308-7483.
