Tuscarawas County, Ohio (WJER) - The congressman whose district includes Southern Tuscarawas county is going back to Washington for a 5th term.

Republican 6th District Congressman Bill Johnson picked up about 68-percent of the votes over Democrat Shawna Roberts across the district.

Johnson says he looks forward to going back to work on behalf of his constituents.

“I can’t tell you how honored and humbled I am that the people of eastern and southeastern Ohio have once again chosen me to be their voice, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly,” he says.

Johnson says that whenever he’s not working in Washington, he’s out in his district talking to the people he represents and listening to their ideas and concerns.
